He was predeceased by: his parents, Bridie Kennedy and John P. Kennedy; his son Denis Kennedy; and his siblings, John, James, Mary, Eleanor, Thomas, Catherine, Cecilia, Ronald and Alfred.

He is survived by: his children, Regina Rios (Robert), Regis Kennedy (Diane), Bridie Jurasevich (John), Sheila Kennedy, Kitty Dominguez (Rick) and Steven Kennedy (Amie); his grandchildren, Tara Kennedy (Nick), Robert Rios (Jessica), Erin Rios, Johnny Jurasevich, Gina Buffone (Jason), Brandon Jurasevich (Debora), Ryan Rios (Kaleigh), Bridie Lauren Jurasevich, Keira Kennedy, Kelly Kennedy and Caitlin Kennedy; and his great grandchildren, Kelan, Kali, Giada, Brandon Jr., Kai, Luccia, Dillon and Eliana. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
