She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband William A. Karwatka; her children, William T. Karwatka (Elizabeth), Luke Karwatka (Miriel), Amy Maleh, Heather Working and Joshua Karwatka; and her sisters, Anna Higgs (late Charles), Darlene Jarvis and Sherry Baumann (Ken). She was also cherished by eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
