He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thomas Sr. and Elizabeth Thomas; and his daughter Caren Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his daughter Cheryl Alfred (Walt); his grandchildren, Lauren Levin (Jeremy), Ashley Fuenes (Mario), Andrew Alfred (Bailey), Miranda Thomas (Kyle), James Doeing and Maddy Smith; his great grandchildren, Sam, Alora, Tristan, Charlotte, Leah and Jack; and his siblings, Nancy Vassar (late Larry) and Chuck Thomas (Sue). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dyer Historical Society in Jim's honor.
