He was predeceased by: his siblings, Rosa Gutierrez Sr. (Felix) and Lupe Tapia (late Joe); and his parents, Tomas Ayala and Maria Ayala. He is survived by: his wife Christine Mikula Ayala; his children, Emaleth D. Mikula, Jarred E. Ayala and Jacob M. Ayala; and his siblings, Victor Ayala (Lana), Michael Ayala, Thomas Ayala (Lori) and Felix Gutierrez II.
