He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Albert, Ethel Churilla, Frank and Helen Brilmyer; his uncle Frank Brilmyer; and his aunts, Diane Brilmyer and Karen Churilla.
He is survived by: his wife Danielle Churilla; his children, Sydney and Gavin Churilla; his parents, Joanne Churilla and Dennis Churilla (Marilyn); his brothers, Dennis Churilla (Heather) and Dan Churilla (Laura); his parents-in-law, David and Patricia Kingen; his brother-in-law Jim Kingen (Jill); his nieces and nephews, Emily Martin (Noah), Molly Churilla (Tyler Beemsterboer), Ethan, Chloe Churilla, Grace, Josh Kingen, Beau, Brady Beemsterboer, Roman and Alana Martin; and his aunt Geri Churilla.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smits Funeral Home (2121 Pleasant Springs Ln, Dyer, IN 46311). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A procession was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 9:15 AM and at 9:30 AM at the Calumet Park Cemetery (2305 W 73rd Ave, Merrillville, IN 46410). An entombment was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Smits Funeral Home (2305 W 73rd Ave, Merrillville, IN 46410).
