She was predeceased by: her sisters, Madge Aardema (late Ray) and Wilma DeVries (late Clayton); and her parents, Nicholas Heest and Marguerite Van Heest. She is survived by: her children, David DeJong (Karen), Melissa Vree (Edward) and Scott DeJong (Katy); her grandchildren, Alan Vree (Katelyn), Amanda Vree and Luke DeJong; and her siblings, Marlene Jabaay (Harry) and Gary Van Heest (Sheila).
