He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Runyon and Leilah Runyon (Hartgerink); his parents-in-law, Dale and Elenora Rank; and his sister-in-law Rose.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Rank; his children, John Runyon (Eliana) of Lynn, MA and Andrea Runyon (Chad) of Fort Wayne, IN; his grandchildren, Christopher and Daniela; his siblings, Norman Runyon, Mary Metzger (Gail), Stanley Runyon (Sharon), Jim Runyon (Merrilee), Betty Metzger (Marshall), Stephen Runyon (Nancy), Daniel Runyon (Renee) and Rosalie Currier (Doug); and his parents-in-law, Ruth Sailor (Ted), Alice Graham (Gary) and David Rank (Nancy). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made wherever they best support the ministry and training of pastors and missionaries around the world.
