He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Walters Hinds and Hazel M. Riggle Hinds; his brother Wilbur Howard Hinds; his niece Janice Voss; and his sister-in-law Beverly Hinds.
He is survived by: his sister Louise Hinds Voss (James) of Dupont, Indiana; his nieces, Victoria Voss Fransham (Rob) of Houston, Linda Voss of Arlington, Virginia, Karen Voss of Deputy and Barbara Hinds Judson (Dave) of Ohio; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Amanda Fransham (Juan Saenz), Kimberly Fransham, Kristina Voss, Hogan Judson and Palmer Judson.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Elbert Hinds Remembrance Fund.
