She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Ray Wheeler and Mary Frances Wheeler Moore (Frederick); her stepfather Dean Moore; her son Gary Pirtle; and her brother Lenny Wheeler.
She is survived by: her son Scott Pope (Amanda) of Sullivan, IN; her grandsons, Josh Pope, Tyler Pope, Michael Leavell and Gerald Dean Pirtle III; her cousins, Darlene Martindale (Ralph), Donna Frederick, Joan Morwood and Georgia Marshall; and her sister-in-law Margie Wheeler. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
