He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rankin and Edna Rankin (Moore); his wife Virginia Rankin (Christy); and his siblings, William, James, Frank Rankin, Kathleen Kirton and Oni Worth.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Rankin (Susan) of Columbus, IN, Loretta Burger of Trafalgar, IN, Dawna Fortner of Marshall, IL and Diane Hunt (Clint) of Linton, IN.; and his grandchildren, Tracy (Brad), Tiffany (Eddie), Nathan (Lana), Ryan, Kevin (Alicia), Clinton and Heather (Brandon).
