He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruel Pigg and Hazel Elizabeth Broshears Pigg; his wife Shirley Pigg; his brothers, Raymond, Richard and Norman Pigg; his daughter Tonya Pigg; his daughter-in-law Marie Deni Pigg; and his sister Rena May Pigg.
He is survived by: his children, Gilbert Pigg Jr. of Dugger, IN, Rick Pigg (Tammy) of Linton, IN, Joe Pigg (Sara) of Dugger, IN, Teresa Starkey (Mike) of Dugger, IN and Kim Hux (Rollie) of Dugger, IN; his sister Mary Kay Pittman of Indianapolis, IN; and his grandchildren, Michele Sandusky (Mark), Mica Felker (Richard), Johna Schaefer (Thomas), Tanna Jo Reed, Dusty Pigg (Brandi), Brody Pigg (Ashley), Krystol Johnson (Mat), Jalen Pigg, Taylor Nachreiner (Jacob) and Adalyn Figg. He is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
