He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene'Cotton' Hensley and Louise Hensley (Bland); his wife Janet E. Hensley (Hallett); and his brother James Earl Hensley. He is survived by: his close friend Barbara J. Flynn; his children, Doug Hensley (Jamie) and Lois Astleford (Terry) of Linton; his stepchildren, Lydia Padgett (Flynn), David Swan (Sandy), Sue Tannehill, Pamela Orr (Rich), Michelle Richie (Gordon) and David George; his sisters, Wilma R. Jerrell (Phillip) of Bloomington, IN and Carolyn Wellington (Scott) of Linton, IN; and his pet Toby. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Anderson - Poindexter Chapel, Linton Email. The military honors was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 1:15 PM at the same location.
