She was predeceased by: her parents, Hilbert E. Blackgrave and Catherine E. Blackgrave (Dittmer); her daughter Margaret Steckler; her grandson Jeff Rottet; her children-in-law, Tony Hildenbrand and Kathy Rottet; and her siblings, Bettye Howard, Ruth Kern, Hilbert "Hip", Robert "Bob" and Bill Blackgrave.

She is survived by: her spouse Daniel E. Freyberger; her children, Alice Hildenbrand, Huntingburg, Denise Reuber (Jeff), Dubois, Christie Pace (Steve), Amy Freyberger (Melinda), David Rottet, Winslow, Steven Rottet, Haysville Rottet, Doug Rottet (Jane) and Bretzville; her son-in-law Allen Steckler; and her siblings, Carol Durst, Petersburg Mendel, Nelda Mendel (Ron) and Gus "Tom" Blackgrave.
