He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Holliday and Seattie Holliday (Ritchie); his wife Leota Knigga; and his son Larry. He is survived by: his daughter Brenda Holliday of Dillsboro; his stepson Michal Clore of Aurora; and his grandchildren, Amanda McKeown of Dillsboro, Jared of Dillsboro, Nova Taylor of Dillsboro and Joel Taylor of Dillsboro. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

Memorials may be given in honor of Doc to Oakdale Cemetery or American Cancer Society.
