He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vera Shuman (Pegee) and Delver Shuman; his wife Mary Shuman (Elbrecht); his daughters, Cheryl Shuman Dillsboro and Jody; his grandchildren, Emily Miller (Cody) of Rising Sun, IN and Evan Hurr of Dillsboro, IN.; his sister-in-law Margaret; his niece Beth Sieverding (Keith); and his nephew Brian Vogel (Pam).
Memorials may be given to the Dillsboro Fire Department or the Special Olympics Indiana - Ripley Ohio Dearborn.
