She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Pruden and Mamie Pruden (Givens). She is survived by: her husband Tommy Sheckler of Dillsboro; and her children, Holly Sheckler of Dillsboro, Tommy Sheckler II (Anita) of Bay City, Scott Sheckler (Julie) of Dillsboro, Timothy Sheckler (Tamara) of Roanoke Rapids and Brenda Sheckler (Kevin) of Dillsboro. She is also survived by seven grandchildren.
Memorials may be given in honor of Helen to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
