He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Bentle and Louise Bentle (Guard); his wife Virginia Bentle; and his siblings, Clayton Bentle and Anna Bell Gillespie.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Bentle (Ann) of Moores Hill, IN, Sam Bentle (Angie) of Aurora, IN, Gary Bentle of Aurora, IN and Sandra Kay Powell (David) of Moores Hill, IN; and his siblings, Robert "Bob" Bentle of Flatwood, KY, Elma Schmeltzer of Greendale, IN, Donna Dean of Aurora, IN and Linda Rumsey of Madison, IN. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
