He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Barth and Mabel Barth (Carroll); and his wife Mary Jane. He is survived by: his children, Jason Wade Barth (Erin) of Dillsboro, IN, John Raymond Niemeyer (Jodie) of Palm City, FL, Michael Lee Niemeyer of Canton, MI, Desiree Renae, McClanahan (John) of Lebanon, OH, Angela Marie and Banschbach (Gerald) of Lawrenceburg, IN; his sister Shirley Jean Barth of Versailles, IN; and his grandchildren, Riley, Sydney Barth, Megan, Noah, Jordan Niemeyer, Emily and Allison Seward.
Memorials may be given in honor of Gene to the Dillsboro Community Partnership-Car Show and Dillsboro Civic Club.
