He is survived by: his wife Peggy Mix (Cutter) of Dillsboro; his children, Erin Menchhofer (Jacob) of Alaska, Drew Mix of Dillsboro and Elizabeth McKenzie (Jason) of Arcadia, Indiana; his siblings, Steve Mix (Kim) of Dillsboro and Debbie Brockman (Jerry) of Carthage, Indiana; and his grandchildren, Ava, Ella, Willow, Alec, Camryn, Maggie and Georgia.
Memorials may be given in honor of Dennis to St. Paul Lutheran Church Olean, Friendship Fire Department, or Hogan Township Fire Department.
