He is survived by: his father Robert Slater of Dothan, Alabama; his partner Tracy Ashcraft of Dillsboro; his daughter Hannah Hurst (David) of Dothan, Alabama; and his sister Sabrina George (Robert) of Caddo Mills, Texas. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren.
