She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Covington and Virginia Covington (Holwager); her husband Bernard Peters; and her siblings, Margerie Marcum and Roy Covington.

She is survived by: her children, Christina Martz of Anderson, Barbara Funk (Bruce) of Anderson, Elaine Peters of Deputy and Michael Peters of Houston, TX; her sisters, Velma Marling of North Vernon and Joan Ehman of Albany, KY; and her grandchildren, Angela Martz, Katie Ryan, Jessica Abbott, Ashlee Duffel and Brian Martz. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.

Memorials can be made through the funeral home to Riley's Children's Hospital or the American Heart Association.
