He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Couch and Bertha Pennington Couch; his granddaughter Savannah Brooke Scott; his brothers, Nathan Pennington and James Lee Pennington; and his sons-in-law, Allen Ray Patton and Willie Lucas, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Williams Couch of Deputy; his children, Henerietta Faris (Jerry) of Hanover, Indiana Sharon Lucas of Harrisburg, Barb Sims (Rob) of Hanover, Carolyn Salkeld (Ken) of Lexington, Raymond Pennington (Lisa) of Canaan, Kenny Pennington (Rhonda) of Canaan and Lynn Pennington (Michele) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Melissa, Brandon, Bryan, Jessica Anne, Chad, Laura, Danni, Christina, Shaun, Seth, Zach, Paige, Andrew, Bradley, Samara, Andy and Angel; his great grandchildren, Blake, Braeton, Hannah, Jia, Casey, Conner, Bryson, Owen, Emma, Andrew, Natalie, Hunter, Briar, Lexi, Nycole, Ethan, Aiden, Jaxon, Ella and Makinzie; his great great grandchildren, Kennedy, Clara and Paisley; his sister Gaylean Morris of Canaan; and his sister-in-law Cassie Benson of Ripley. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
