He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Fields and Cora Crider Fields; his brother Ralph Fields; his wife Mary Esther Gassert Fields; his daughters, Nancy Grider and Marsha Diane Scroggins Royalty; his grandchildren, Jeremy Wayne Scroggins and Elizabeth Michelle Royalty; and his great grandchild Christopher Mason Brewer.
He is survived by: his children, Linda K. Rook of Deputy, Donna Jean White (Ossie) of Deputy, Kenneth "Ken" R. Fields (Debbie) of Dayton, Robert "Bob" K. Fields (Becky) of Paris Crossing, Anthony "Tony" L. Fields (Rita) of Seymour and Rick Fields of Deputy. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
