Gerald Franklin Shelton Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald Franklin Shelton in Deputy, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 9, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Jean Johnson; his mother Florence; his in-laws, Marshall and Thelma Johnson; his sisters, Lois Meyer of Indianapolis and Betty Cain of Columbus; his siblings-in-law, Wilbur Meyer, John Burton and Sandra Shelton of Deputy; and his grandson Michael Green.
He is survived by: his cousin Roy Shelton; his siblings, Sarah Sue Burton of Versailles, Lorena Sipe (Darrell) of Concord, NC and Michael of Deputy; his children, Lisa Green (Ron) of Fishers, Kathy McGriff of Franklin and Marshall Thomas (Lonna) of Mt. Summit; his grandchildren, Susan Dunn (Jeremy) of Indianapolis, Jessica Slabaugh (Timothy) of Wesley Chapel, FL, Stacie Shelton of Denver, CO, Brooke Shelton of Bloomington, Daniel McGriff of Franklin and Austin Shelton (Audrey) of Greenfield; his great grandchildren, Jacob Dunn, Samuel Slabaugh and Kaiden Shelton; and his nieces and nephews, Ruth Ann Evans of Lafayette, CA, Cindy Meyer of Lapel, Melinda Swinney, Kim Evans of Versailles, Michelle Morrison, Julie Thompson of Madison, Jenny Burgess, Amy Sherman of Concord, NC, Brian Clark of Columbus and Mark Shelton of Frankfort, KY.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service (3406 S Memorial Dr, New Castle, IN 47362). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
