Barbara Ann Hall McClanahan Obituary
Mrs. Barbara Ann Hall McClanahan, age 83 of Deputy, Indiana, entered this life on September 6, 1939 in Edinburgh, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Albert Thomas and Virginia Louise Carvin Hall. Raised in Madison, Barbara graduated from Madison High School in 1956. On December 23, 1956, she was united in marriage to Ellison Hill 'Mac' McClanahan at St. John's United Church of Christ in downtown Madison, Indiana. This happy union of 44 years was blessed to raise three daughters, Malinda, Pamila and Ginny. They settled in their family home in 1968 and Barbara lived there the rest of her life. She retired after 30 years as a QMA psychiatric attendant at Madison State Hospital with 12 years of those years on the drug unit night shift. She was a member of the Lick Branch Baptist Church and attended Solid Rock Community Church near Deputy. She was a member of the Hanover Chapter No. 525 Order of Eastern Star. Barbara enjoyed spending winters in Port Charlotte, Florida, raising strawberries in her garden, and spending time with her family. Barbara died on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at 10:25 a.m. at her home near Deputy, Indiana.

A LOVING FAMILY
Barbara will be missed by her companion, Danny Wallace of Deputy, Indiana; her daughters, Malinda Cosby and her husband Marvin of Madison, Indiana, Pamila Jo Phillips of Madison, Indiana, Ginny Lyn McClanahan and her companion William Hall, II of Madison, Indiana; her grandchildren, Rebecca Cardinal, Brenton Phillips, Kyle McClanahan (Lee Ann), Loretta Cosby and Ashley Cosby; her great grandchildren, Chauncey, Mason, Jaden, Haven, Alex, Emerson, Bladyn, Sunshine, Kamryn and Tayten; her sister, Judy Graves of Madison, Indiana; her brother, Jim Hall of Panama City, Florida; her brother in law, Charles McClanahan of Paris Crossing, Indiana; her sisters in law, Ella Jean Gammons of Deputy, Indiana, Mary E. Fredenburgh of Mainsville, Ohio; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Thomas Hall, died February 12, 1973, her mother, Virginia Louise Carvin Hall, died April 12, 2000, her beloved husband, Ellison Hill 'Mac' McClanahan, died March 22, 2000.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, May 15, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., by Pastor Mike Shuler at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Lick Branch Cemetery near Deputy, Indiana.

VISITATION
Friends may visit Sunday, May 14, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
