He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Atwood and Mary Atwood (Collins); his wife Shirley Atwood (Cochran); and his brothers, Charles and Richard Atwood.
He is survived by: his sons, Thomas A. Atwood Jr. (Buck) of Mt. Washington, KY and Jeff A. Atwood of Corydon, IN; his close friend Becky Smith of Depauw, IN; his brothers, Orville Atwood of Marengo, Boyd Atwood of English and Lloyd Atwood of Mauckport, Indiana; his half-brothers, Mike Atwood of Marengo and David Atwood of Milton, Indiana; his grandchildren, Christopher Atwood, Joshua Ruckle and Hayden Atwood; and his great grandchild Shaylynn Atwood.
