He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Whittaker and Susie Sparkman Whittaker; his sister Anna Laura Mousty; and his siblings-in-law, Billy Mousty and Doris Whittaker.
He is survived by: his wife Gertrud Fũss Whittaker; his children, Norman Whittaker (Dona) of Corydon, IN, Jerry Whittaker (Mary) of Greenville, IN, Teresa Gettelfinger (Dave) of Ramsey, IN and Tiffany Oppel (Darren) of Palmyra, IN; his brother Frank Whittaker of Depauw, IN; his grandchildren, Alicia Swarens, Brent Whittaker, Laura Uhl, Brett, Ashley, Adam Whittaker and Devin; and his great grandchildren, Mason, Noah, Emily, Terry, Tucker, Tanner, Paisley, Riley and Bryce.
