He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Gurtz and Goldie Gurtz; and his son Dwaine D. Gurtz. He is survived by: his wife Wanda J. Goldman Gurtz; his children, Jimmi Jean Fessel (Mark) of Depauw, IN, Dwight D. Gurtz (Mary) of Milltown, IN and Gregory J. Gurtz (Donna) of Depauw, IN; and his grandchildren, Kristie McKillip, Jason Fessel, Tonya Gurtz, James Gurtz, David Gurtz, Amy Matz, Janet Ackels, Brandi Gurtz and Jessica Lincoln. He is also survived by 11 Great Grandchildren.
