Herman L. Summers Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Herman L. Summers of Depauw, Indiana, born in Weldon, Illinois, who passed away on March 21, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Vice and Mattie Summers (Wathen); his wife June P. Summers (Bowman); his daughter Penny Pitman; his grandson Travis Summers; his great grandchild Walker Bevins; and his sisters, Mary Linton, Emily Manship and Geneva Summers Hammond.
He is survived by: his children, Jerry L. Summers (Sharon M.) of Louisville, Kentucky and Ruth Ann Graves (David) of Sellersburg, Indiana; his son-in-law Rick Pitman; his sister-in-law Lorene Batman of Seymour, Indiana; his grandchildren, Stacey, Josh, Summer, Joey, Kayla, Matt, Kevin and Samuel; and his great grandchildren, Andrew, Jordan, Tara, Tyler, Trenton, June, Evelyn, Mary, Elijah, Hattie, Gracie, Shiloh, Saleh, Grayson, Sadie and Madison. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
