It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melody Shumpert of Denver, Indiana, born in Peru, Indiana, who passed away on June 17, 2021, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Ray Shumpert. She is survived by: her parents, Walter Edward and Hazel Jean Lesley (Barsoda); her children, Tashina N. McNabney (Jeremy), Yanel F. Rigle (Larry), Guanea N. Talbert (Dwayne), Nemiah D. Jones (Keon) and Aaron J. Doran (Madison Vance); her siblings, Velvet Shrock (Bud), Trudy Ferguson (Mark) and Butch Lesley (Amy); and her stepchildren, Preston and Denzel Shumpert. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other special children.
