He is survived by: his parent Ples Lee Shumpert; his wife Melody Dawn Shumpert of Denver; his mother Gennie M. Terry; his sons, Preston Anthony Shumpert of New York and Denzel Ray Shumpert of Kokomo; his siblings, Terry L. Shumpert, Warsaw, Carl G. Shumpert, Peru and Sandra K. Shumpert; and his stepchildren, Tashina N. McNabney, Wabash, Yanel F. Rigle, Peru, Guanea N. Talbert, Nemiah D. Doran and Aaron J. Doran. He is also survived by two grandchildren; twelve step grandchildren, and two step-great grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
