He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Maxey and Mary Maxey; his parents-in-law, Bruce, Donna and Erlene Reibly; his brother John Ray Maxey; and his half-sister Barbara Meeks.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Maxey (Reibly); his children, Michael Maxey (Julie) and Heather DeWitt (Dave); his grandchildren, Abigail Jackson (Blake), Jacob Maxey (Eleni Price) and Sebastian DeWitt; his siblings, Rose Aquino (Joe) and Fred Maxey; his half-brother Dwight Wilburn Maxey; and his siblings-in-law, Bruce Reibly, Pamela Nelson (Tom) and Denise Piskoty.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
