Terry L Chapman Obituary
Terry Chapman, age 77, of Demotte, IN., passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024. He was born on June 11, 1947 in Crown Point, IN to William and Wanda Chapman. After graduating from Crown Point High School in 1965, Terry joined the US Army where he bravely fought in the Vietnam War. Terry served with the 630thEngineer Co, 70th Engineer Bn in Vietnam from September 1965 to June 1967 where he achieved the rank of E-5.
After fulfilling his duty to his country, Terry worked as an Ironworker and was a member of Local 395. Terry enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing golf, baseball/softball, and watching old time westerns and NASCAR races.
Left behind to cherish his memories is his mother, Wanda (Wallace) Dumouchel, daughter Leslie (Tom) Stout, daughter Jonielle Spillers, granddaughters Elizabeth Stout and Nicole Spillers, grandsons Anthony (Erica) Stout, Jake Spillers, Nash Spillers, and great-grandchildren Bradley Stout, Harper Stout, and Elliette Stout. Terry was preceded in death by his father, William Chapman, wife, Denise (Sabau) Chapman, brother, Kenneth Chapman, and granddaughter Katie Stout. Per the family’s wishes, cremation has been chosen with a Celebration of Life at a later date. Frazier Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
