It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Kay Hoffman (Demotte, Indiana), born in Valparaiso, Indiana, who passed away on October 24, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Frank Dusek and Vera Dusek (Jensen); her husband George Hoffman, Jr.; her children, Dawn VanderMolen (Kevin), Jay Hoffman (Camilla), Mike Hoffman (Melanie) and Sheila Shields (Jim); her grandchildren, Jamie Boehl (Chris), Derek VanderMolen, Jasen VanderMolen, Gabrielle Hoffman, Sarah, Justin Hoffman and Matthew Hoffman; and her siblings, Ron Dusek (Linda), Rose Ambers (Dusek) and Jerri Myers (Dusek).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to a charity of choice, but suggests the American Cancer Society.
