It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude Van Eck of Demotte, Indiana, who passed away on November 16, 2022, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius Mak and Margaret Mak (Kiersma); her husband Herman C. Van Eck; her siblings, John Mak and Doris Mak; and her son-in-law James Hill.
She is survived by: her children, Vicki Hill, Phillip Van Eck (Marj), Timothy Van Eck (Cherie) and Stephan Van Eck (Gabi). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
