She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Gladys and Regina Gladys; her husband Myron Ruehl; and her brother Alfred Gladys. She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Hanlon (Jeffrey) and Michael Ruehl; her grandchildren, Amanda Harris (Mathew), Trisha (Christopher Vela) and Katlyne Miner (Justin); her great grandchildren, Lennox Harris and Bentley Miner; her sister-in-law Dolores Gladys; and her caregivers, Toni Kifer and Lauryn Koedyker. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Franciscan Hospice in Elaine's memory.
