He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Sales and Catherine Sales (Morrow); his wife Marjorie Louise Brooks; and his siblings, Regina and Patrick Sales.

He is survived by: his children, Mark Sales, Diana Sales Dittman and Michael Sales; and his grandchildren, Jonathan Sales, Brittany Sales Phillips, Brandon Dittman, Bryan Dittman, Andrew Dittman, Ashley Dittman, Joshua Sales, Zachery Sales and Brooke Sales.

In lieu of usual remembrances, contributions may be directed to the American Foundation for the Blind or American Breast Cancer Awareness.
