William J. Hartman Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William J. Hartman of Decatur, Indiana, who passed away on December 12, 2022 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his siblings-in-law, Bernard, Josef Kahlert, Edeltraud Kahlert, Ann Kahlert and Hilda Kahlert; and his children-in-law, Michael Scott Copsey and Jennifer Hartman (Hawfield).
He is survived by: his wife Dorothea M. Kahlert; his children, Dorothea, C. D. (Regina Hartman) of Des Plaines, IL, Renata Christine Copsey of Broken Arrow, OK and Matthew Hartman (Shannon) of Fishers, IN; his brothers-in-law, Alfons Kahlert (Nancy) of Decatur, IN and Georg Kahlert of Springfield, OH; his grandchildren, Heather Warren (Will), Brian Copsey (Emily Brown), Hannah Copsey, Katelyn Hartman and Emily Hartman; and his great grandchildren, Kate, Jane, Henry Warren, Blakely and Teagan Copsey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Preferred memorials may be made to St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church.
