He was predeceased by: his father W. Emmitt Hawkins. He is survived by: his mother Linda L. Hawkins (Cunningham) of Decatur; his wife Debora K. Hawkins of Decatur; his children, Jessica L. Harris (Braidon) of Monroe and Ethan A. Hawkins (Katie Mahlan) of Decatur; his grandchildren, Dominic, Chevelle, Halle Harris, Gavin and Harper Hawkins; and his siblings, Rod Hawkins (Maggie) of Decatur, Polly Kraus (Barry) of Clearwater, FL and Jenny Nicely (Tim) of Payne, OH..

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stillwater Hospice or St. Joseph Catholic School.
