He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell C. Shoemaker and Nancy M. Shoemaker (Bowen); his wife Alice E. Roth; and his siblings, Jack Shoemaker and Beulah Conner.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jerry Shoemaker (Diana) of Akron, IN and Kathleen Racer of Rochester, IN; his nieces, Judy Sipes and Cheryl Larson; and his friend Cathy Plasterer.
