He was predeceased by: his parents, Adan Cordova Eguia and Andrea Eguia (Belmarez); and his siblings, Louis Eguia, Angelina Ramos and Esther Ybarra.
He is survived by: his children, Olivia Arredondo (Steve Caldwell), Christina Eguia, Guadalupe Eguia of Battle Creek, MI, Jessica Fosnaugh (Charles) of Decatur, Sarah Nunez (Leah Oetting) of Decatur, Shana Schaible (Kyle Hinton) of Bryant, Brittany Eguia of Ft. Wayne and Elijah Eguia of Decatur; the mother of his children Penny Eguia of Decatur; and his siblings, Francisco Eguia, David Eguia, Adam Eguia (Wanda), Fernando Eguia, Ermelinda Reyes, Grace Tellez and Anna Maria Eguia. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
