She was predeceased by: her parents, Merrill S. Peterson and Frances A. Peterson (Schneider); her husband Jack Gaffer; her daughter Anne M. Gage; and her brother Max Peterson.
She is survived by: her children, John C. Gaffer (Marsha) of New Haven, Laura Schlemmer (Herb) of Convoy, OH, Virgene Becker of Decatur, Paula Gaffer of Decatur and Charmaine "Charli" Werling (Steve) of New Haven; her son-in-law Roger Gage of Decatur; her brother David S. Peterson (Kathy) of Ft. Wayne; and her sister-in-law Gloria Peterson of Kenosha, WI. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to St. Mary's Catholic Church or Visiting Nurse Hospice.
