She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl J. Smalley and Alice F. Smalley (Smith); her husband Donald C. Barkley; her stepmother Bessie M. Smalley (Brigner); her siblings, Ruth Ann Roehm, Margaret Hill (Arnold) and Hugh Thomas; and her siblings-in-law, Gerald Kuhn and JoAnn Brigner.
She is survived by: her children, Alice McCauley of Paulding, Ohio, Perry D. Barkley of Decatur and Jerry T. Barkley (Sheree) of Berne, Indiana; her siblings, Julie Long (Van Riley) of Rockford, Susan "Jane" Kuhn of Celina, Ohio, Tom Smalley (Debby) of Celina, Guy Junior Brigner (Connie) of Berne and Melvin Mac Brigner (Debbie) of Payne, Ohio; her brother-in-law Elmer Roehm of Willshire, Ohio; her grandchildren, Carla Morris (Brian), Cory Hileman and Grace Barkley; her great grandchildren, Keller Morris (Samantha Proxmire) and Frank Morris; and her great great grandchild Opal Rose Morris.
