Janell Diane Wilken Harper Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janell Diane Wilken Harper (Decatur, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 17, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard C. Franz and Waneta Franz (Conrad); her son Scott M. Wilken; her brother Ron Franz; her sister-in-law Sandy Franz; and her nephew Derek Franz.
She is survived by: her husband Ed Harper of Monroeville, Indiana; her siblings, Kent Franz (Sandy) of Hoagland, Indiana, LouAnn Beery (William) of Fort Wayne and Donna Schlemmer (Dale) of Gladstone, Michigan; her daughter-in-law Katherine Wilken of New Haven, Indiana; her sister-in-law Marge Franz of Decatur, Indiana; her granddaughters, Cally, Hannah and Jenna Wilken; and her former husband James Wilken of Emmitsburg, Maryland.. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Peter Lutheran Church (1033 E 1100 N, Decatur, IN 46733). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers preferred memorial can be given to St. Peter Lutheran Church-Fuelling, St. Peter-Immanuel Lutheran School, or Worship Anew.
