He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Ranly and Mary Ranly (Bruns); his wife Cindy Lee Ranly (Lovellette); and his sisters, Margery Poole and Ann Schaffner.
He is survived by: his children, Gustin James Ranly (Ashten) of Decatur, Indiana, Sebastian Cole Ranly (Adrienne) of Decatur, Indiana, Jade Miller of Fort Wayne and Jasmine Ranly-Sarkissian (Matthew) of Fredericksburg, Virginia; and his siblings, Lori Smith (Jeff) of Defiance, Ohio and Chris Ranly (Sandy) of Greenwood. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren.
