It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James M. Rumschlag of Decatur, Indiana, who passed away on April 29, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert J. Rumschlag and Lucille M. Rumschlag (Miller); his wife Patricia Gerardot; and his son Gregory Rumschlag. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Garner (Jeff), Sara Anderson (Robert Carper) and Christopher Rumschlag of Decatur; his siblings, Donald Rumschlag (Marsha) of Ft. Wayne, David Rumschlag (Kelly) of Decatur and Carol Bailey of Decatur; his grandchildren, Wyatt Rumschlag, Holly Haines (Nathan), Heather Garner, Skyeler Rumschlag, Camden Rumschlag (Christy), Gianna Bodle, Annie Carper and Rawnie Carper; his great grandchildren, Daxton Haines, Mariah Haines and Brody Haines; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Ashley and Jared Baker.
Memorials may be given to St. Mary's Catholic Church or St. Joseph Catholic School.
