He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Markley and Mildred Inez Markley (Schott); his wife Norma Jayne Brown; his sons, Steve and Scott Markley; and his siblings, Phyllis Poling, Ann Walton, Kenneth Markley, Roderick Markley and Richard Markley.
He is survived by: his daughters, Valerie Markley of New Haven, Indiana and Lynn Funk (Wayne) of Garrett, Indiana; and his grandchildren, Christopher, Kevin, Katherine, Craig, Rebecca, Andrea, Erica and Peter. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
