She was predeceased by: her parents, Gustav Krueckeberg and Selma Krueckeberg (Bleeke); her husband Eugene F. Kiess; her grandson Shane Kiess; and her siblings, Ester Krueckeberg, Truman Krueckeberg, Morris Krueckeberg (Naomi), Amanda Dressler (Dorwin), Norma Miller (Ben) and Gertrude Heine (Gaylord).
She is survived by: her children, Gregg Kiess (Kay) of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Cynthia DesJean (Paul) of Decatur, Indiana, Nanette Nidlinger (John) of Decatur, Indiana, Duane Kiess (Lisa) of Decatur, Indiana and Debra Bergman (Toney) of Decatur, Indiana; her siblings, Melvin Krueckeberg (Arlene) of New Haven, Indiana and Joyce Knipstein (Ken) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and her grandchildren, Cody Kiess (Megan), Zak Kiess (Michelle), Nik Kiess, Sara Konopka (Matt), Joey DesJean (Ale), J. D. Nidlinger (Casey), Kylene Deitemeyer (Todd), Matthew Nidlinger (Haleigh), Shawn Kiess, Shelby Gremelspacher (Jake), Jacob Bergman (Tara), Aaron Bergman (Sarah) and Emily Bergman.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home (520 N 2nd St, Decatur, IN 46733). Viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (10653 N 550 W, Decatur, IN 46733). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
Preferred memorials can be given to Zion Lutheran Church Friedheim - Wyneken Endowment (checks payable to Zion Lutheran – Friedheim).
