She was predeceased by: her parents, Leocadio Sifuentes and Brijida Sifuentes (Guerra); her husband Refugio Artea; and her children, Jesus Artea, Marie Olivia Artea and Celia Artea Horne.
She is survived by: her children, Felipe Artea of Decatur and Norma Slusher (Mark) of Ohio City, OH; and her grandchildren, Michelle Norman (Noah) of Decatur, Matt Manley (Elisha) of Decatur, Mark Manley (Abby) of Decatur, Lisa Springman (Tim) of Alexandria, VA, Kristy Reichert (Luke) of Wren, OH and Tina Slusher of Wren, OH. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
