The passing of Harold L. Vanhorn of Decatur, Indiana leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on December 14, 2024 at the age of 87. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmer Vanhorn and Lovina Vanhorn (Schaadt); his wife Virginia A. Thatcher; his daughter Penelope "Penny" McCollough; and his siblings, Marilyn Weidman, Dave Vanhorn and Bruce Vanhorn.

He is survived by: his sons, Gregory "Greg" Vanhorn of Decatur, Indiana, Michael "Mike" Vanhorn (Stacy) of Greenville, Ohio and Brian Vanhorn (Jenny Kaley) of Decatur, Indiana; his brothers, Kenn Vanhorn of Decatur, Indiana and Rick Vanhorn (Kathy) of Lucas, Texas; his grandchildren, Kristen Foote (Nate), Adam McCollough, Emily Stucke (Alex), Noah Vanhorn, Kyle Blevins (Alexis) and Brice Vanhorn; and his great grandchildren, Kai Jones, Nora Stucke, Henry Stucke, Gabriel Stucke and Josie Foote.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home (520 N 2nd St, Decatur, IN 46733).

Preferred memorials can be given to the Adams County 4-H or the ACCF – Cancer Fund.
